MERRIAM ? Police in northeast Kansas say the deaths of two people in a Johnson County apartment were a homicide-suicide.

The man and woman were identified Friday as 35-year-old Erik Snow of Merriam and 35-year-old Lesa Baumgardner of Parkville, Mo.

The Kansas City Star reported that police believe Snow shot Baumgardner and then himself.

Police said Snow worked as a legal assistant at a law firm. A co-worker went to Snow’s apartment Thursday morning and found the bodies when Snow failed to show up at work.
