Parker Hole in One: Donald Parker used a 7-iron from 154 yards to ace No. 11 at Alvamar Country Club on July 1 and shot his age, 77. The hole-in-one was witnessed by Ray Wilson.

Cagers Basketball: Kansas Cagers Basketball Team is looking for ninth- and 10th-grade boys (2010-2011 school year) who are interested in playing competitive basketball in the Lawrence and Kansas City areas. Practices are held most Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Tonganoxie Middle School Gym, 824 Washington Street, Tonganoxie. Jayhawk Golf Club Results: Ed Scholtes shot 68 to win the net portion of the Jayhawk Golf Club’s White Tee Day on Saturday at Alvamar public. David Hurwitz (70) was second and followed by Mike Beaton (71) and Chris Petr (75). Chris Anderson won scratch with 74 and was followed by Drew Walters (75), Mike Naegele (79) and Pete Whitenight (87).

Heider Records Ace: Mark Heider carded a hole-in-one on Lawrence Country Club’s No. 11 hole. He used a 7-iron for the ace, which was witnessed by son Matt.
