• The Lawrence Technology Association July luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 20 at Biggs BBQ, 2429 Iowa. Cost is $12 for members and $14 for nonmembers. Guest speaker will be Richard D. • The Lawrence Chamber of Commerce is scheduled to have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 p.m. July 29 at Lou & Co. Aveda Hair Studio, 2040 W. 31st St., Suite C.

• Dawn Caruthers, Lawrence, has joined PROSOCO as an accounting specialist. Her responsibilities include tracking and following up on accounts payable and receivable, and performing credit checks on new accounts. Before joining PROSOCO, Caruthers worked as a credit and collections specialist for TradeNet Publishing in Gardner.

• Katie Mitchell of Owens Flower Shop recently completed the Wedding Bouquets & Flowers to Wear class hosted by Teleflora in Oklahoma City. Designers nationwide attended four days of intensive hands-on design sessions to learn the latest trends and techniques in flowers for brides, flowers for attendants and flowers to wear.

• Walter and Janice Olker have recently opened Go Driving School, LLC, at 932 Mass., Suite 308. Go Driving has been approved by the State Department of Education to operate a driver training school. Classes are open to teens and adults.
