City crews reopened the 1100 block of Connecticut street to traffic at about 3:20 p.m. on Thursday.

But Megan Gilliland, communications director for the city, said the street will be closed again for periods on Friday while crews finish repairs to a water meter in the area.

The 1100 block of Connecticut Street is expected to be closed to traffic until at least 3 p.m. Thursday.

City crews are working to replace a frozen water meter in the block, said Megan Gilliland, communications director for the city.

Detour signs have been put in place to direct traffic around the one block stretch of Connecticut.

---c'mon Chad, you can do better than this!

no detail...so was the street closed initially because of the frozen water meter? or did Dr. Who hit it with his scarf???

you have to read to the end of the article to get an implication that the reason for all of this was a frozen water meter. well, was it?
1100-CT used to be one helluva place, bad and crime riddled. home of several viscious dogs. past ten-fifteen years it's cleaned up.
