KU women fall at Texas Tech, 68-51

The Kansas women’s basketball team was dominated in the second half, losing 68-51 to Texas Tech on Sunday in Lubbock, Texas.

The Jayhawks were outscored 37-19 in the game’s final 20 minutes; KU held a 32-31 lead at the break.

Monica Engelman led the Jayhawks with 20 points on 7-for-20 shooting. Aishah Sutherland added 12 points.

KU made just 1 of 13 three-point attempts (7.7 percent).

Jordan Murphree led TTU (16-10, 4-8 Big 12) with 20 points.

KU (15-10, 5-7 Big 12) will play host to Iowa State at 6 p.m. Thursday in a game televised on FSN.
