Runners will love Valentine’s events
Two benefit runs are set for Saturday.
The Lawrence Love 2 Run 4 Mile begins at 9 a.m. at Free State High School, 4700 Overland Drive, and will benefit the Head For A Cure Foundation, an organization dedicated to fighting brain cancer.
The couples-themed race encourages entrants to register as a pair and results will be determined by their combined times. Visit sportkc.org for race details and to register.
A second event — the Lawrence Love Run — begins at 10 a.m. at North Second and Elm streets outside Johnny’s Tavern.
Proceeds from the race will go to the Elias Fund, an organization devoted to creating sustainability within Zimbabwe communities.
