Washburn physical therapists headed to Bangladesh
Topeka ? Four students in Washburn University’s physical therapist assistant program are headed to Bangladesh.
Lori Khan, director of the physical therapist assistant program at Washburn, is organizing the trip as a way to help out at the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed.
Khan learned about the facility while attending a conference in India last year.
Khan told The Topeka Capital Journal that CRP works with a lot of children who have received spinal cord injuries. One group leaves at the end of December for a two-week stay, and another group will travel to Bangladesh later in the spring.
