Seventh Street between Massachusetts and Vermont streets reopened Wednesday afternoon after being closed while a crane lifted heating, ventilation and air-conditioning equipment onto the roof of Starbucks, 647 Mass.

Sgt. Matt Sarna, a police spokesman, said the construction company called police for assistance with prohibiting traffic on the street.
