Westbound K-10 reopened following felony car stop
The westbound lanes of K-10 were reopened after traffic was halted temporarily during a felony car stop Sunday evening.
According to Lieutenant Brian Clark of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began when a fight broke out at a bar in De Soto. Patrons inside the establishment reported seeing a gun drawn by someone involved in the fight. A suspect vehicle was then seen leaving the area.
Clark said the vehicle was stopped near the Douglas County line on K-10 and because the suspect was believed to be armed, a felony car stop was made.
No weapons were found inside the vehicle and Clark said no arrests have been made.
No one reported being a victim in the incident.
