The performance will include music from the Renaissance, Baroque and Classic eras appropriate to the season, including the “Christmas Concerto” by Arcangelo Corelli (1653-1713), the aria “Schliesse, mein Herze” from the “Christmas Oratorio” by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), “O magnum mysterium” by Tomás Luis de Victoria (1548-1611), the aria and chorus “O Thou That Tellest Good Tidings to Zion” from “Messiah” by George Frideric Handel (1685-1759), among other choral and instrumental works.

The Vocal Collegium is directed by Dong-Hyun Son, a doctoral candidate in choral conducting, and the conductor of the Instrumental Collegium is Paul Laird, professor of musicology.

The concert is free and open to the public.
