This is for Keith Langford: Thanks for your guest column in the Journal-World (Sports, Aug. 29) so that your friends here in Lawrence can learn about your accomplishments and aspirations as well as your disappointments and frustrations. No, you haven’t made your former journalism professors grit their teeth. Instead, you’ve made us mighty proud that you’re using your J-School education. Thanks especially for your thoughtful words about our colleague, Susanne Shaw. Your column is a perfect present to help us launch another great year for Jayhawk journalists.
