To the editor:

Wow! Sections of new concrete are replacing damaged areas on Inverness Drive rather than replacing the entire roadway. Concrete! I have been delighted recently to travel on Connecticut Street with its new patches of asphalt. It’s like driving on a brand new road. Thanks, City of Lawrence!

I preferred "Corky, the wiener dog".

Personally I prefer scanning and rhyme in my poetry. Otherwise it just sounds like a badly written LTE.
