• Sam Campbell, chairman and president of CritiTech Inc., announces the addition of Francois Sauer, M.D., MBA, to its board of directors and Michael Baltezor, Ph.D., to its scientific advisory board. Sauer is the CEO of Trans Am Group and has served in numerous other business and professional leadership positions. Most recently, Baltezor became the director of the Biotechnology Innovation and Optimization Center at Kansas University. His primary areas of expertise are in pharmaceutics, physical chemistry and analytical chemistry with a focus on novel drug delivery and the resolution of drug solubilization and stabilization.
• OrthoKansas, P.A., 1112 W. Sixth St., Suite 124, will host its 15th annual Sports Injury Clinics on Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., for all junior high, senior high and collegiate athletes who have sustained a recent or acute injury. The clinics begin Saturday and will run through Oct. 30. No appointment is necessary. All patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis and must check in by 9 a.m.
•Vickie Hull, a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist in Lawrence, attended a seminar Aug. 2-6 at The Oread. The seminar, “Addressing the Psychological Health of Warriors and Their Families,”‘ was conducted by the Center for Deployment Psychology. While there, Hull was trained in prolonged exposure therapy, which is used in cases involving combat stress, post traumatic stress disorder, sexual assault and other trauma.
