The Associated Press Managing Editors have awarded the Lawrence Journal-World an honorable mention in their 2010 contests.
Growing Up Together, a multimedia story that chronicles a teen pregnancy, placed second in the online convergence category. Online convergence entries consist of a combination of print and digital elements.
This is the fourth year in a row that the APME has honored Journal-World in that same category, with the three previous entries taking top honors.

Since there are only a handful of newspapers left in the world, the award is somewhat meaningful.
