Overland Park ? Republican Kevin Yoder is proposing six debates with his Democratic opponent in Kansas’ 3rd Congressional District.

Yoder, a Kansas House member from Overland Park, has issued a challenge to Democratic nominee Stephene Moore. She is the wife of retiring Democratic Congressman Dennis Moore.

Yoder says voters in the Kansas City-area district deserve an honest discussion of the candidates’ differences.

A spokesman for Stephene Moore, Trevor Willett, says the Democratic nominee looks forward to as many debates as possible before the Nov. 2 general election.
