Lawrence Parks seeks help planting flowers
Lawrence Parks and Recreation leaders are looking for volunteers again to help with downtown flower planting.
The department has scheduled flower-planting events in early May. Volunteer events will be from 8 a.m. to noon on: May 1, May 5, May 6, May 13, May 14 and May 15. In addition to downtown, plantings will take place in South Park and the Union Pacific Depot in North Lawrence.
People who want to volunteer can sign up at lawrenceks.org/lprd or call the Parks and Recreation office at 832-2450.
Details on where to meet for each event will be provided once people sign up.
