Hillary Yoder’s first half goal gave Free State High’s soccer team an early lead, and Elena Auer record a shutout in goal as FSHS blanked Shawnee Mission Northwest, 2-0, on Tuesday at Free State.

For insurance, Hannah Carlson added a goal off a free kick at the top of the 18-yard box with 2 minutes, 49 seconds remaining.

The Firebirds (2-4-1) will play SM West on Thursday at the Shawnee Mission Soccer Complex.
