Sheila Bair, chairwoman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and a KU alumna, will deliver the 2010 Dole Lecture at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Dole Institute of Politics, 2350 Petefish Drive.

The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m., and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Forbes magazine named Bair the second most powerful woman in the world in 2008 and 2009, and she also made Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people of 2009.
