Arts auction reaps more than $100,000

The Lawrence Arts Center’s annual Benefit Art Auction generated more than $100,000, money that will be used to help sustain exhibitions at the cultural hub in downtown Lawrence.

The 30th annual event, conducted Saturday, drew contributed works from 150 artists, said Susan Tate, executive director of the center at 940 N.H.

“Lawrence demonstrated tremendous support for the Lawrence Arts Center, our exhibitions program, and purchasing original art,” Tate said.
