Read-Out event also celebrates Earth Day
The Oread Friends Meeting is hosting its third annual Read-Out event from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday in South Park.
The event is held in honor of Earth Day, and community members or groups are invited to speak or perform in 10-minute time slots at the event on some topic related to the care of the planet. During past Read-Outs, participants have performed songs, readings and mime acts.
