Crews respond to garage fire
Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical crews responded to a garage fire at 10 a.m. Tuesday at 1228 Laura Ave. in the Brook Creek neighborhood. Firefighters were able to put out the fire in about 15 minutes.
The detached garage was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Fire investigators are still working to determine a cause and damage estimate.
