Man charged in stabbing case

A Lawrence man was charged with aggravated battery and aggravated assault in connection with a weekend stabbing.
Justin L. Chamberlin, 28, made his first appearance in Douglas County District Court on Monday afternoon.
Chamberlin was arrested after a man was stabbed around 4:30 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Ward Avenue.
The victim was identified as a 34-year-old Lawrence resident who was flown to a Kansas City-area hospital with wounds he suffered in the knife fight. A condition update for the victim was not available Monday night.
