Douglas County officials plan to mail property tax bills on Thursday.

Payments for these taxes — on real estate, personal property, commercial trucks and public utilities — are due May 10.

Taxpayers may pay online at www.douglas-county.com and pay from a regular checking account for a $1 fee, or by credit card. Transaction fees for credit cards are listed on the Web site.

For property owners not using online service, payments can be mailed in a return envelope provided, paid in person at any of four office locations printed on the tax statement, or left in drop-boxes at the courthouse or the 27th Street satellite.
