Three Lawrence women were taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Monday morning after the driver of the car they were in lost control of the vehicle and struck the barrier wall on Interstate 70.

The accident occurred about 8 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-70 near mile marker 197. All three injured passengers, all in their early 20s, were treated and released Monday. The driver, a 22-year-old Lenexa woman, was not injured in the incident.
