6News Lawrence will be bringing its 6 p.m. broadcast to four communities across northeast Kansas in September. Find out all the details.
Sunflower Broadband Channel 6News will take its 6 p.m. newscast out of the studio on Wednesday, for a live telecast from South Park.
The public is invited to arrive for Main Street Live at 5:30 p.m. The rain-or-shine event will be a chance to meet many of the on-air news, sports and weather personalities from Channel 6, and see how a live newscast looks behind the scenes.
Free bratwurst, soda and water will be available for the first 150 people.
"We think this is a great way to say thanks to our viewers for making 6News a part of their lives. We hope the turnout is great," 6News Director Cody Howard said.
6News will telecast live from Pilla Park in Eudora on Sept. 30.
