Course helps manage chronic conditions
Lawrence Memorial Hospital will be offering the course “Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions.”
It is a six-week Kansas Department of Health and Environment program that was developed by Stanford University to help those dealing with chronic conditions.
The course will cover self-care strategies, such as how to reduce pain, deal with fatigue, exercise, eat well, manage stress and use medications.
It will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Oct. 26 at LMH, 325 Maine.
Advance enrollment is required as class size is limited.
Cost is $12 per person.
