Olathe ? The Lawrence High volleyball team won two matches and lost one in the Olathe Northwest quad to open its season.

The Lions swept Shawnee Mission West (25-22, 25-23) and Shawnee Mission South (25-23, 25-18), but lost to Olathe Northwest, 2-1 (25-22, 19-25, 25-21).

Jasymn Turner led the Lions with 26 kills and 24 digs. Lillian Schoenwise added 17 kills and seven blocks.

Carrie Klemencic had 14 blocks and 11 kills. Alex Kincaid and Kendyll Severa added 24 and 23 digs, respectively.

The Lions’ record is now 2-1. Up next, they’ll host a home quad Thursday with Olathe South, Leavenworth and Mill Valley.
