Next Tuesday, Sept. 15, Massage Envy is teaming up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help in the fight against breast cancer by hosting Massage for the Cure.

During this one-day event, nearly 600 Massage Envy clinics nationwide, including one in Lawrence at 4931 W. Sixth St., Suite 110, will offer $35 one-hour massage therapy sessions with $10 from each massage directly benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Additional donations also will be accepted, and all proceeds collected will go directly into local community outreach programs supporting breast health education and awareness.

Since the first Massage for the Cure event in 2005, Massage Envy has raised more than $800,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a global leader in the movement to end breast cancer.
