Scary weather
To the editor:
Heavens to Betsy, those front-page articles are scaring me to death! What are we going to do? Are we going to have prolonged sub-zero weather with those 30 inches of snow? Is that global warming going to cause 30 days straight of temperatures over 100 degrees?
Wait a minute. Aren’t things averaging out? Ah, yes, come to think of it, I made it through the winter or 1979 AND the summer of 1980. I’m still here. No, FDR did not write this, although he might as well have. We probably shouldn’t allow those special-interest people to scare us to death.
