The Topeka Capital-Journal honored several Lawrence attractions in the “Best of Topeka: The Top Five.”

• Downtown Lawrence placed first for “best northeast Kansas downtown.”

• Lawrence placed second for “best place to take a day trip/Sunday drive.”

• Clinton Lake placed third for “best fishing location” and fourth for “best lake/reservoir/camping.”

Readers voted in more than 100 categories. Ballots were published on selected Sundays from April through June.
