Bonner Springs — Diego Gonzalez scored three goals, and Daniel Chance added a goal as Free State High opened its soccer season with a 4-0 victory Thursday at Bonner Springs. Chance and Reese Jones had assists, and Jackson McClure and Elliot Johnson teamed to record the shutout in goal.
The Firebirds (1-0) will play host to De Soto on Sept. 14.
