March of Dimes sale features kids’ items

A garage sale this month in Lawrence will benefit the March of Dimes, and organizers are accepting items to sell.

Shelley Black said the organization is in need of maternity and children’s clothes, toys, strollers and cribs in clean and working condition.

Items can be dropped off at Central National Bank, 711 Wakarusa Drive, through Sept. 18.

The March of Dimes Kids’ Garage Sale will be from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Eagles Lodge, 1803 W. Sixth St.

We are also accepting baked goods to sell individually or in sets. Drop off's can be the day of the sale which officially starts at 7am and not 7:30am. If you would like to donate baked goods or volunteer, please contact Shelley Black as contact info is noted in the article.
