Free State, Lawrence High football notch victories

The Free State High football team downed Olathe Northwest, 35-14, on Friday in Olathe.
Keene Niemack accounted for three touchdowns: a 16-yard run, an 83-yard kickoff return and an 8-yard pass from quarterback Camren Torneden.
With the victory, Free State (7-2) won its district and will play next Friday against an opponent to be determined.
Also, the Lawrence High football team pulled off its first victory of the season on Friday at home. The Lions (1-8) held off Leavenworth, 13-6, in overtime. Leavenworth dropped to 0-9.

The Free State High football team leads Olathe Northwest, 28-7, at halftime tonight in Olathe.
Keene Niemack scored two touchdowns for the Firebirds in the first half. He had an 8-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Camren Torneden and took an 83-yard kickoff return back for a score.
Free State also scored on runs from Torneden and Kirk Resseguie.
The Firebirds entered the game at 6-2, while the Ravens are 4-4.
Meanwhile, Lawrence High is down, 6-0, at halftime at home against Leavenworth. Both teams entered the game at 0-8.

I'm confused. . .
I was hoping so much that the Lions would win tonight, and this article seems to say as much.
However, Metro Sports KC reports that Leavenworth beat Lawrence 13-6.
Which is correct?

That's great news!
We were watching Metro Sports HS RoundUp and they had Leavenworth beating LHS 13-6 on their scoreboard. Happy to hear they were wrong.
My kids go to Free State, but I'm an LHS alum and I most definitely did not want to see them end up winless this year.
