Multiple fire crews responded about 2 a.m. Tuesday to a RV fully engulfed in flames approximately two miles west of Lawrence.

The vehicle was parked in a gated lot southwest of a building located near the intersection of County Road 442 and U.S. Highway 40.

The Kanwaka Fire Department was first to respond. Kanwaka Fire Department Chief Chris Lesser said Kanwaka crews requested mutual aid from the Wakarusa Township Fire Department and the Lecompton Township Fire Department to assist with water transport.

Lesser said the blaze was contained within 30 minutes of crews' arrival on scene. The only other object to catch fire was a Dumpster.
