Olathe ? Free State won the Sunflower League gymnastics championship on Thursday at Olathe East.

The Firebirds scored 104.075 points to edge runner-up Shawnee Mission Northwest (102.00 points). Lawrence High was 10th.

Free State’s Drue Davis won the vault (with 9.65 points), beam (9.2), floor (9.45) and the all-around (36.7). She was fifth on bars with 8.4 points.

Kelcy Bowers was third in the all-around with 33.9 points. She was fourth on the bars (8.55 points) and floor (8.8). Aly Frydman was third on floor (8.975 points) and sixth on vault (8.55).

Regionals will be Oct. 31 at Olathe North.
