Students will have the opportunity to feel what it's like to be drunk Friday night at the Lawrence High vs. Free State High football game at Free State High School, 4700 Overland Dr.
DCCCA Inc. will let students wear a pair of "Fatal Vision" goggles, which simulate the effects of alcohol on motor skills, and take a shot at shooting a basketball through a hoop.
The activity will be part of an interactive drug awareness trailer, which will be located near the tailgating area of the game, said Jen Brinkerhoff, director of the Regional Prevention Center of East Central Kansas.
Elks volunteers will man the trailer, which includes anti-drug and alcohol information.
The events are being organized by DCCCA Inc. and The New Tradition Coalition, a group of parents concerned about curbing underage drinking.

I wonder if Marion is going to put on these goggles as he visits the neighborhood architect to pick up a new batch of drainage photos.
