Nominees picked for extension council

The annual Douglas County Extension Council election is set for 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Douglas County Extension Office, 2110 Harper St.

The election’s purpose is to fill the Extension Council seats. Twelve people are selected for the council every year.

A nominating committee has selected these people who said they would serve if elected:

• In agriculture: Rich Barr, Luke Ulrich and Jonathan Alley.

• In family and consumer science: Jane Fevurly, Ann Chapman and Lori Comstock.

• In economic development: Ann Preuser, Paul Groundwater and John Bradley.

• In 4-H youth development: Trent Flory, Craig Shultz and Keri Cheek.

Douglas County residents who are 18 and older are eligible to vote and serve on the council. Eligible residents can cast their ballots at the Douglas County Extension Office.
