American Taekwondo Association Martial Arts in Lawrence will be host to a child safety open house at 3 p.m. on Oct. 24.

The open house is part of the ATA Martial Arts initiative to use education to minimize the risk of child abduction.

For the safety campaign, ATA partnered with amberalert.com to increase Amber Alert notifications via e-mail and other personal communication devices.

When an Amber Alert is issued, amberalert.com notifies subscribers of the missing child.
