Closings scheduled for Columbus Day
Federal offices and Douglas County District Court will be closed Monday in observance of Columbus Day.
Lawrence city offices and Douglas County administrative offices will be open.
City offices in most area towns will be open.
Franklin County District Court will be closed, but county administrative offices there will be open. Jefferson County offices and the district court will be closed Monday.
The U.S. Postal Service will not make regular deliveries, and post offices will be closed. FedEx and UPS will make regular deliveries.
Most banks will be closed.
The Lawrence Workforce Center, Lawrence Public Library and Lawrence Senior Center will be open.
USA Today will be printed.
Liquor stores will be open.
