Three designers from Color Studio, 2330 Yale, attended the Bumble and bumble University Design Workshop in New York. Brandy Lewis, Aimee Avila and salon owner LaVonna McAlister attended the three-day workshop in July that included training covering both razor and scissor techniques as well as consultation and business development skills.

The studio’s entire design staff attended the Chicago Americas Beauty Show in March. The event is geared toward salon professionals and provided education and events, product orientation and purchasing, networking and socializing. While in attendance, the team was able to work with world-renowned stylist and designer Nick Arrojo, from TLC’s “What Not to Wear.” They also spent time with professionals from Wella Professionals and Vidal Sassoon, and Sam Vila, Redken’s Platform Artist of the Year.
