Lawrence police are investigating two burglaries reported late Wednesday night near 17th Street and Barker Avenue.

The burglaries occurred in the 1600 block of Barker Avenue and the 100 block of East 17th Street, a police spokesman said.

Sgt. Bill Cory said the incidents are likely connected.
