Free State’s Brahler wins individual title

? Free State High’s Grace Brahler placed first individually at the Olathe South Golf Invitational on Thursday.

Brahler shot a 38 to win the nine-hole event.

“Her putting was real sharp today,” FSHS coach Craig Hershiser said of Brahler. “She’s always pretty long. Today she just really cleaned it up on the green, putted extremely well. When you do that, your score drops.”

Olathe Northwest placed first as a team at 173. Free State was third with 197.

FSHS will play on Monday in the Shawnee Mission South Invitational, which will serve as the second half of the Sunflower League tournament.
