The Pottawatomie Board of County Commissioners has hired Treanor Architects P.A. to create a master plan for its justice facilities.
The plan will include options for the development of a new jail, courthouse and sheriff’s offices. It also will evaluate the current courthouse for reuse of the existing space.
Treanor is undertaking the project in conjunction with Voorhis Associates Inc., a Colorado-based firm that will assist in facility, operational and strategic planning. The assessment is scheduled for completion in February.
Treanor Architects, established in 1981, is a design firm with offices in Lawrence, Topeka, Kansas City, Mo. and St. Louis.
