Pat McCandless has been appointed director of personnel development at Stephens Real Estate Inc., where he has been a member of the company’s real estate team since March 2007. McCandless serves as a sales agent.

He has more than 29 years of retail/sales management experience. Previously, McCandless was regional vice president for Tractor Supply Co., where he directed management of the Midwest region.

He has resided in Lawrence for 16 years and is active in the community. McCandless is a member of the Jayhawk Rotary Club and the Chamber of Commerce and has served as co-chairman of the Pacesetter Campaign for the United Way of Douglas County.

He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Kansas Association of Realtors and Lawrence Board of Realtors and has earned the Accredited Buyers Representative distinction.

His primary responsibility will be recruiting and training new licensees to Stephens Real Estate, and he will continue to sell real estate for the company.
