U.S. Bank branches to start food drive

The U.S. Bank branches in Lawrence are collecting food and other items through Wednesday to benefit Ballard Community Services.
“The U.S. Bank team wanted to help our neighbors who are in need this winter,” said Brad Burnside, president of U.S. Bank in Lawrence. “The team will deliver all donated items to the Ballard Community Center when the food drive is complete.”
Suggested donations are baby formula and food, disposable diapers, nonperishable and canned foods, including peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit and soup.
Ballard Community Services is a nonprofit organization that provides an early education program and assistance to families and individuals.
Bank branches are at 900 Mass., 1807 W. 23rd St., 1600 E. 23rd St., 3500 W. Sixth St. and 2701 Iowa.
