Kelly Calvert, director of human resources for The World Company, has been honored by the Jayhawk chapter Society for Human Resource Management.

Earlier this week, Calvert was given the Human Resources Professional/Community Volunteer of the Year award. Calvert was nominated by fellow chapter members for this first annual honor.

In addition to her community volunteerism, Calvert was recognized for her 22 years as a practicing human resources professional and as a 20-year member in the local and national societies.

Calvert has held numerous positions with the Lawrence chapter and has been active at the state level.

Calvert, who was a member of the steering committee for the Lawrence Community Career Connection event, is a board member of Success by Six is active in her church and her children’s school site councils and Scout troops.
