Jobs lost
To the editor:
Every month, when I pay my Lawrence Memorial Hospital bill (city-owned hospital), the return envelope has the payment going to Kansas City.
Then, almost daily, there is talk in the local paper about the lack of local jobs.
Guess we can’t open envelopes and deposit checks here in Lawrence. Another high-tech job lost to Kansas City, Mo.
