The Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Association and the Douglas County Community Foundation will present: “After the Sun Sets — Death, Taxes and Uncertainty.” The event will be from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Maceli’s, 1031 N. H. The presenter will be Martin Dickinson, Kansas University distinguished professor of law.

These issues will be discussed:

• Estate tax repeal and revival.

• Permanent fix alternatives.

• Estate tax “reform” proposals.

• Generation-skipping tax, gift tax changes and other related issues.
