The service projects will be going on from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and children of all ages are welcome. For more information, contact Emily Hampton at programs@rhvc.org or 865-5030.
• The Lawrence Arts Center is seeking elves for its Holiday Shop, an annual event that gives children the opportunity to come in and shop with “Holiday Dollars” for gifts for their families. About 50 volunteer elves are needed for each shift: 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11; and 8 a.m. to noon and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12. Contact Jenny at 843-2787 or e-mail lacvolunteer@sunflower.com to become an elf.
