The second of three public hearings to gather input on future parks and recreation needs is set for Thursday.
The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will host the meeting from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Lawrence Free State High School’s commons area, 4700 Overland Drive.
The forum is designed to give the department information on what type of new facilities, parks or trails are needed within the community.
Participants will be asked to fill out a short survey that measures what the Parks and Recreation department’s priorities should be in the future.
The third forum is set for 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 10 at the Community Building, 115 W. 11th St.
